building toys for boys
Why do people deny that Santa existed?

Santa existed long ago, everyone knows that. His name was Chris Cringle and He built toys for all the boys and girls on Christmas. Additionally, Jesus never told us to celebrate his birth. His day is Easter for his resurrection. He told us to remember his resurrection. If that’s the case, why do so many people insist on celebrating his birth? Jesus was here before the Earth was created. He wasn’t born. December 25 is to remember Chris Cringle, or St. Nicolis.
Yeah, PBUH.
Christmas is about receiving. Adopt the spirit of Santa and give something useful to the less fortunate.
Christmas was around before the Jesus story was brought to the mainstream media! It’s about receiving the spirit of helping the less fortunate, not about going broke buying presents.
No record of Jesus’ birth indeed. Is there a record of his life in other sources besides mythology?

Because the “Santa” people believe in today magically deliver toys around the world depending on if you are nice or not. How would you feel if you were poor and recieved little to none gifts and your rich friend got all the new toys, the child would think Santa loves the rich more. Parents decided to teach children that it was them who gave the gifts as a celebration. Some countries celebrate a St. Nicolis day (like in Germany) so there you have it!

There is probably something in the water in Greendale, Illinois, or perhaps it’s just in the water at the drinking fountains at Central High School, but there is an unusually large percentage of very handsome, very well-hung and very horny boys in Central High. And, there is certainly something in the air: It’s gay sex, and the boys and men in Boys Will be Toys are masters of the art.Take Andy Dowd, for example. He’s not only handsome, hung and horny, but also he’s the very model of the fabled "boy next door." And, the boy living next door to him is Brig Day, also exemplifying the three H’s of Greendale, and very much in love with Andy. When Brig’s sister goes off to college, he inherits her bedroom, which has an excellent view of Andy’s bedroom – and the things he sees happening there are eye-awakening and erection-inspiring. It’s not long before Brig begins to live the life he has been only dreaming of and with the golden object of his love.Years later, when Brig is serving as Guidance Counselor at his alma mater, Greendale Central High School, Danny Thacker, one of the school’s two male cheerleaders, shares a seat with the achingly handsome and sexy star quarterback on a bus returning from an away game., and he intercepts the kind of pass he thought he might get from the quarterback only "when pigs fly." The extremely passionate affair between quarterback and cheerleader hits some very rocky patches and finds final resolution in an especially high-class hustler bar in Chicago.Written in the characteristically frank and sex-driven style of John Butler’s many STARbooks novels, Boys Will be Toys will not disappoint gay readers looking to share sex vicariously with Butler’s seemingly tireless young studs.

Building blocks have been a familiar presence in children’s toy collections for generations, but in the twentieth century new production techniques allowed the building brick to evolve into a multiplicity of systems that could make any child his or her own architect and skilled builder, capable of constructing realistic and sturdy miniature buildings. This highly illustrated book is devoted to British building toys with all the major brands and some of the minor ones represented. Photographs of sets, completed buildings and the box art and advertising material that were used to sell these toys make this book a feast of nostalgia for anyone who grew up in the middle years of the last century, and an invaluable source of information for any collectors who keep the memory of these toys alive today.

Saki was the pen name of British author Hector Hugh Munro. He was a master of the short story, compared to O. Henry and Dorothy Parker. His work is widely anthologized, and "Sredni Vashtar" was adapted for television by the old Twilight Zone series. "The Toys of Peace" is a collection of thirty-three of his stories, including the title work, in which well meaning parents decide to give their sons toys that aren’t war toys. The disappointed boys find ways of indulging bloodthirsty instincts. Saki delighted in satirizing convention, contrasting the conventions of Edwardian England with the life and death struggles of nature. Nature generally won in the end.

Kids' Stuff: Toys and the Changing World of American Childhood

Kids’ Stuff: Toys and the Changing World of American Childhood

$4.81

To sort out who’s who and what’s what in the enchanting, vexing world of Barbies(R) and Ninja Turtles(R), Tinkertoys(R) and teddy bears, is to begin to see what’s become of childhood in America. It is this changing world, and what it unveils about our values, that Gary Cross explores in "Kids’ Stuff," a revealing look into the meaning of American toys through this century. Early in the 1900s toys reflected parents’ ideas about children and their futures. Erector sets introduced boys to a realm of business and technology, while baby dolls anticipated motherhood and building blocks honed the fine motor skills of the youngest children. "Kids’ Stuff" chronicles the transformation that occurred as the interests and intentions of parents, children, and the toy industry gradually diverged–starting in the 1930s when toymakers, marketing playthings inspired by popular favorites like Shirley Temple and Buck Rogers, began to appeal directly to the young. TV advertising, blockbuster films like "Star Wars"(R), and Saturday morning cartoons exploited their youthful audience in new and audacious ways. Meanwhile, powerful social and economic forces were transforming the nature of play in American society. Cross offers a richly textured account of a culture in which erector sets and baby dolls are no longer alone in preparing children for the future, and in which the toys that now crowd the racks are as perplexing for parents as they are beguiling for little boys and girls. Whether we want our children to be high achievers in a competitive world or playful and free from the worries of adult life, the toy store confronts us with many choices. What does the endless array of action figures and fashion dolls mean? Are children–or parents–the dupes of the film, television, and toy industries, with their latest fads and fantasies? What does this say about our time, and what does it bode for our future? Tapping a vein of rich cultural history, "Kids’ Stuff" exposes the serious business behind a century of playthings.

Boys and Their Toys: Understanding Men by Understanding Their Relationship with Gadgets

Boys and Their Toys: Understanding Men by Understanding Their Relationship with Gadgets

$3.95

The key to understanding men is in understanding how they relate to their gadgets. Just because they may seem to show more interest in their computers?or their remote controls?or their fancy watches or their power mowers or their stereos?doesn’t mean that their toys are really the most important things in their life. In BOYS AND THEIR TOYS, bestselling author Bill Adler, Jr. explains how men use toys to assert their independence and freedom, relieve stress, connect to their lost childhood, and even express their nurturing side (without having to admit it). Written in Adler’s fun, humorous style, this book helps readers understand what makes their men tick?and grow closer with them in the process.

The book examines how toys and play contribute to the development of language, imagination, and intellectual achievement and how they can effectively be used in child psychotherapy.
